Brass Fittings for Mdpe Pipe ø 75-90-110
For the connection of polyethylene tube of large diameter rmmcia offers a range of brass compression fittings for polyethylene pipe. In this family you will find elbows, tees and straight unions in versions coupled - coupled for connecting tube with tube and coupled - thread. Similar to the “with internal compression nut” and “with external compressing nut” families, the typical applications are the build of connections in irrigation systems, potable water networks supply and also in conveyance systems of fuel gases.
The union with the polyethylene pipe follows the same system seen in the other two families of brass fittings for polyethylene (with external and internal compression nut). The particularity in this case is that the tightening is done by means of a clamping flange, which is screwed to the body of the fitting. This family is called Ø 75-90-110 in reference to the connecting tube diameter.
Similar to other families of rmmcia, the list of references is sorted by the size in inches of the threaded end and in millimeters in accordance to the outside diameter of the polyethylene tube in the coupling ends.
About the material used in the fabrication of this compression fittings, we have brass CW617N UNE-EN 12165 for hot forgings (flange and body of the fitting), brass CW614N UNE-EN 12164 for those parts made from bar machined (clamp and insert) and EPDM PEROX 70 UNE-EN 681-1 in case of the O-ring.
The rules and conditions of use of these brass accessories are according to EN 12201 and EN 15555 which refers to water and fuel gases conveyance in plastic pipes, and to ISO 228 for ends threaded.
