Brass Fittings for Mdpe Pipe with External Compression Nut
For polyethylene pipe rmmcia offers this family of brass fittings with external compression nut. A range of accessories for polyethylene tube of high and low density to connect tube with tube (coupling – coupling) and tube to threaded fittings (coupling – threading). A series of fittings for your applications in irrigation systems, for supply networks of potable water and also in conveyance and distribution systems of fuel gases.
The body of the fitting has an external threading (male thread) to which is threaded a clamping nut, achieving the sealing of the union thanks to the O-ring being compressed against the tube, while a gripping ring clamps slightly against it to fix the tube. The different sizes available for each product are listed following the size in inches of the threaded end, and in millimetres for the coupling ends depending on the external diameter of the connected polyethylene tube.
The material used is brass CW617N UNE-EN 12165 for forged parts (nut and body), brass CW614N UNE-EN 12164 for bar machined parts (clamp and insert) and for the O-ring rubber NBR.
Some of the standards applying to the fabrication of these fittings are UNE-EN 1254-3, which refers to compression fittings for plastic pipes, in the UNE-EN 12201-3 about to the use of accessories in conveyance systems in plastic materials (polyethylene) for water transport and EN 15555 for those aspects concerning to fuel gases conveyance.
