Brass Threaded Fittings
The rmmcia family of brass threaded fittings provides a comprehensive range of accessories, including unions, changes of direction (bends, elbows), branches (tees), bushings, extensions, plugs, nuts, couplings, repair collars etc., allowing for unlimited possibilities of connection.
These brass fittings are traditionally used for connecting steel pipe with threaded ends. They are also used for connection of pipes made of rigid plastic and for connecting to other threaded accessories or fittings. Threads conform to ISO 228, and for the perfect seal of the thread connection a sealant should be used (hemp fibre, Teflon or other appropriate sealants).
Accessories are denominated in inches or fractions of an inch, depending on the size of the thread end. Size designation is related with the internal diameter of the pipe. Typical applications include water supply and distribution systems, for both cold and hot sanitary water, in heating, cooling and air conditioning systems as well as irrigation, sprinkler fire piping or other piping systems with pipe threaded ends.
The material used in its manufacture is brass CW617N UNE-EN 12165 for hot forgings, brass UNE-EN 1982 CB753S for gravity die cast metal and brass CW614N UNE-EN 12164 for parts machined from bar.
The design and manufacture of this family of fittings conforms to the UNE-EN 1254-4 for the dimensions of the threaded ends of the parts, the ISO 228-1 for shape and dimensions of threads, and ISO 9001 for the strict manufacturing controls that ensure high quality production and an effective and durable use over time.
